Hopscotch

#PlaytheCity

As part of "International Children's Rights Day", which is celebrated every year on November 20, we had a collective creative experience: We painted, drew, and marked Hopscotch on the sidewalks of some cities.

November / 2.018

Nowadays, children spend half as much time playing as their parents did when they were their age, which has a direct impact on their physical and mental health.

Why do we guarantee the right to PLAY in the CITY?

Children are neighbors who are denied the right to live and play freely, independently, and safely by the way we make and understand the city.

Play is far more powerful than we imagine. It is a key for learning. To play means to learn.

Reclaiming the streets as play spaces allows us to add a layer of playability and re-imagine cities and public spaces as extraordinarily accessible and affordable learning opportunities.

Interventions have been carried out together with Arch. Pablo "Pepe" Gutierrez.
