Wait & don't Despair

Final project for the Experience Design diploma course at the Centro Universitario de Comunicación.

May / 2.012

Modern TIMES. Lack of time, stress and loss of quality of life. The current pace of life does not allow for mental and physical rest and confronts us with a new scenario: the average life span is increasing, but the quality of life is decreasing.

Lost TIME. An average citizen spends five years of his life waiting in various queues to receive a service, to receive attention.

When a person waits, several reactions occur. From an emotional point of view: boredom, anxiety, uncertainty, and anger, and from a behavioral point of view: complaints, frustration, or abandonment of the service.

TIMES of change, big changes. Faced with a situation of waiting, the passage of TIME will be pleasant, beneficial, transformative, and will be USEFUL, VALUABLE, and PRODUCTIVE.

Wait and don't Despair is a proposal for waiting situations that create long lines of people in public spaces. Use this time, which is perceived by those waiting as lost, as dead time, to transform it into valuable and encouraging time for personal mutation.
